“"Isn't God Enough?"”

Thoughts for Today:

In our passage today, the great point Paul makes is: The same amazing power God used to raise Jesus from the dead is the SAME power we believers have been given in Christ. So it's not just a tiny bit of power. It is as much as, and equal to, the power God applied when He raised Jesus. Which is more than enough to accomplish His will in our lives.

All too often people say, "I'm addicted," yet God says, "You're free!" We say, "I'm hurt, damaged, and beyond repair." God says, "You're as whole as you allow Me to make you." We say, "I need counseling, therapy and prescription drugs to help me cope with life." God says, "You don't need anything except Me."

Many will read those words and say, "That's nice sounding, but really impractical. In this day and age we need greater tools to deal with our problems." Are you sure? Why isn't God enough?

Questions to Ponder:

In what practical ways have you relied upon the complete adequacy of God? Do you reach for Him first and last? Is He your best and only true solution?
